Social Distancing doesn't mean we stop scouting.  Keep up the good work and stay in touch with your patrol leader!

We're Social Distancing Together!

It's not lost on any of us that we are going through one of the greatest trials our country has faced in a hundred years.  We are complying with the instructions we've received from our community, state, and federal leaders in order to stay healthy and keep our community healthy.

That doesn't meant that scouting has to stop.  We are still conducting weekly Troop meetings, monthly Patrol Leader Council meetings - all in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

Our scouts are continuing to work on their advancement as well - rank requirements, merit badges, Scoutmaster conferences, and Boards of Review.

Please feel free to contact any member of the Scoutmaster Corps or Troop Committee if you have any questions or need assistance.

May 18, 8:00pm     Summer Camp Information Meeting

On Zoom!

Immediately following the Troop Committee meeting, we will hold a summer camp information meeting.  This meeting is for leaders, parents, and even scouts if they want to log in.  We will be discussing all the aspects of summer camp - everything from merit badge pre-requisites to medication rules to the status of the summer camp t-shirt.  Don't miss it!

This one is for the scouts and adults who will be attending our high-adventure trip on the James River this summer.  We will start in Charles City County and paddle to Chickahominy Riverfront Park, about 18 miles.  This is going to be a long, hot day and will prepare us for the adventure to come this July!

June 27 - July 3rd     Summer Camp

Our reservations are in and we're now signing up scouts for summer camp.  This is the signature experience of the year.  Fun, camaraderie, outdoor adventure, merit badges, and more.  Sign up now!

August 20-22,     Campout: Dog Days of Summer

Fort Story

Summer is almost over, school's about to begin, but wow will it be hot.  We'll camp at Fort Story and catch some sea breezes while we explore beaches and light houses.

September 20-22,     Campout: Stargazing and Rockets

Chelsea Plantation

When you travel back in time to an 18th century plantation, the night sky is there in all its glory.  This campout will be a great one to hone your skills on, explore our history, launch a rocket during the day, and stargaze into the night.
